>Description:

I compiled a new kernel with COMPAT_386BSD_MBRPART enabled and did all
what Matthias Drochner described in his readme. All worked fine for
booting (with new mbr id) until I tryed to connect via modem to my
ppp account. It seemed it was not able to set DTR on the modem and can't
dial at all. pppd did not exit normal on kill, I had to kill -9.

So I reverted the mbr-id and booted with a kernel made a day before
(19.2.98 source) and all worked well :-/

With looking at what changed in the source I have no idea why this effects
my serial port - but it does. So I wanted at least report the problem,
although I have no idea why this is.

>How-To-Repeat:

Try to access a modem via pppd or seyon (no matter) on a Laptop Toshiba
Tecra 500 CDT with a kernel compiled from 20.2.1998 sources, and watch it
fail.
