System: NetBSD calvin 1.2G NetBSD 1.2G (CALVIN) #174: Sun Sep 21 23:30:49 CEST 1997 augustss@calvin:/users/NetBSD/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/CALVIN i386

Our expr reports a syntax error where other exprs seem to be
happy. I don't know what POSIX says, so I don't know if
	this is really a bug.

I found the offending code in Sun's JDK.

		expr a : /
	and you'll get
		expr: syntax error

If this is really a bug I can fix it.
