	If tar is run on a gzip'ed file, but the "z" option is forgotten,
	tar coredumps instead of printing an error message. This was seen
	with the file etc12G

>How-To-Repeat:

	execute "tar tvf etc12G.tar.gz"

	Don't know; didn't look.

	Note that we should also update to the newest tar source (now
	something > 1.11.14, while we have 1.11.5)
