>Description:
My system has a slightly flakey power supply and a DEC SCSI disk. The
power to the disk will occasionally fail, and the disk will not spin back
up after even a brief power loss. As it is the only piece of hardware
affected by the problem, it creates difficulties: My syslog fills up with
drive not ready errors, and I can't access the disk. Since the kernel
manages to spin up the disk on boot, I know that this is a supported
operation; shouldn't it try the same thing when it suddenly gets a
drive not ready?
