System: NetBSD 1.2D NetBSD 1.2D (_LAPTON_) #3: Sun Apr 27 22:24:02 BST 1997 i386

	options.4 does not mention COMPAT_NOMID.

man 4 options & wonder what COMPAT_NOMID does.

     Something along the lines of:

     options COMPAT_NOMID
Enable binary compatibility with NetBSD 0.8 ZMAGIC format. On i386 this
also enables binary compatibility with 386BSD and BSDI's QMAGIC, NMAGIC,
     and OMAGIC a.out formats.
