For Chicago the area code split is as follows:

312:Chicago (downtown):Illinois:IL
773:Chicago (non-downtown):Illinois:IL
847:Chicago (north suburbs):Illinois:IL
630:Chicago (west suburbs):Illinois:IL
708:Chicago (south suburbs):Illinois:IL

The phone book lists precisely which suburbs of Chicago belong
to which area code, but there are about 120 of them in 847 and
60 of them in 630, so listing them all here would be a mess.
