Yes, many people have been kind enough to send me the fix, which 
worked wonderfully..  But I should hope that severe bugs such as this
would be fixed before they can take out people's hardware.

And If it is fixed in -current.. then I request that a NOTE be put in 
the 1.2 INSTALL file to warn users that they are subject to card-
death if they have a wd80xx?? at 0x300 and boot an install kernel.

I just think that if we know the bug is out there, and we have know 
for however long this seems to have been (people mail me saying they 
remember this from a year or so back!) It should be plainly stated 
somewhere if you aren't going to fix it.

But thank you to everyone who helped me fix my card.
