>Description:

The problem started with some changes after 22.12.1996. Normaly the HP9000/400T
goes into bootrom, checks some stuff, loads the kernel, prints some numbers,
and then the boot messages is shown. Here a normal dmesg output:

But now, after the bootrom checks, the kernel is loaded, the numbers are
printed, and then no more output is shown. The system boots into a working
system, without showing anything on the console. Here is a dmesg with a
current 08.01.1997 kernel:

Both kernels were made with config.old of course.

Boot a current 08.01.1997 system on a HP900/400T that has an monochrome
hyperion display (console).
