Sorry guys. I made a big mistake in my previous "lpr -P" bug report. Mike Long et al. were correct
in that lpr -P etc. work properly if the /etc/printcap file contains separate spool directories for each
print queue. With the following printcap file my problems as reported earlier on netbsd-bugs
disappear:

ncti20# cat /etc/printcap
# @(#)printcap 5.3 (Berkeley) 6/30/90

lp|local line printer:\
        :lp=/dev/lpt0:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:
lp2|remote line printer 2:\
        :rm=ncti100:rp=lp2:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp2:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:

Thanks again for taking the time to review my logs. Keep up the good work on NetBSD.

Scott
