"There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and BSD UNIX.
We don't believe this to be a coincidence."

Quantum LPS 540 SCSI-Drive

>Description:

The system issues the following messages while the drive seems to be
recalibrating and there is ongoing disk-activity.
Nov 29 20:31:51 zippo /netbsd: ncr0:0: ERROR (81:0) (8-0-0) (8/13) @ (14:87cd1773).
Nov 29 20:31:51 zippo /netbsd: script cmd = 721a0000
Nov 29 20:31:51 zippo /netbsd: reg: da 00 00 13 47 08 00 1f 04 08 80 00 80 00 0f 02.
Nov 29 20:31:51 zippo /netbsd: ncr0: restart (fatal error).
Nov 29 20:31:51 zippo /netbsd: sd0(ncr0:0:0): FAST SCSI-2 100ns (10 Mb/sec) offset 8.

>How-To-Repeat:
Produce great disk activity an wait for drive recalibration.
>Fix:
Not known, maybe timing is to tight for drives that lock up the controller
while recalibrating.
