I need to run my SE/30 off of an extern. monitor. I us a macronix 24 bit
unaccelerated colorboard. When I try to boot the MacBSD o/s, it starts.
A welcome message comes on, and "console = ser" message. Soon after it
freezes. I tried different O/Ss (usually I use 7.5) and the same problem
occured. I have internal 8mb and a scsi chain of 2 hds, a scanner (off),
& a cd rom. I think the problem is the video board because one time the
program dropped into a debugger and revealed "strange video board
addresses" <not a direct quote>. Is there any solution besides switching
computers or disconnecting the colorboard?

I will take my extern. hd to school to try using MacBSD on another
computer to see if I get the same problem. If I do, then I will assume
that the problem is in my installation. Rite now, any info on possible
Macronix conflicts would be appreciated.
