>Description:
The filesystem templates in /etc/mtree do not match the
distributed filesystem, and conflict with each other. This limits
their usefulness for ensuring correct permissions in the filesystem,
detection of security breaches, etc.
>How-To-Repeat:
Run mtree -u with the "special" template to fix known
permission problems. Then run mtree with the "4.4BSD.dist" template
and notice that it tells you to change some files back to their
original permissions.
>Fix:
Fix the templates so they don't conflict. Distribute the
system software with permissions set as described in the mtree
templates.
