I have an empty ~/calendar file (well, most of the time it's empty).
It's size is 0 bytes and it used to be quietly ignored by calendar -a until
(including) 1.0. Now it produces reminder messages like

  #1 ""

mv ~/calendar ~/calendar.orig
touch ~/calendar
calendar -a
