Hi, I'm trying to get netbsd-0.9 up and running and keep getting the above
message when I ifconfig my ethernet card. I've tried many different 
WD SMC cards (8 and 16 bit) and they all give the same error message.
When I get the above message I cannot use the network however other machines
have arp table entries for this machine (the netbsd machine) but cannot
ping it.

Any idea what the problem could be?
