Is this on NetBSD 0.9, or NetBSD-current?

your .mc file should contain a line like this:

OSTYPE(bsd4.4)

This will get all the pathnames correct.

Very recent NetBSD-current sources have included a "generic" .mc file
called "netbsd_proto.mc" from which to generate your .cf.  I've
included it below as well.
