>Release: NetBSD-current of < 17th Dec 1993
>Environment:
486, 1742, EXA-8500
System: NetBSD alice.wonderland.org 0.9a GENERICAHBBT#9 i386
>Description:
Dan Muntz mailed current-users with a problem with EXA-8200 and 1742 in
enhanced mode. Dan tells me he has got no further. I now have added a
Sun originated EXA-8500 drive to my system with 1742 and writing hangs
the SCSI bus. Dan suggested that it may be OK in standard mode, but I
have not had time to verify this, since this machine is the only one
I know works, and I don't muck around with it hardware wise too much...
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to write to an Exabyte drive with a 1742
>Fix:
No iea. Sorry. I intend to run the system with scsi_debug on soon, but
not until at least next weked (1/9/94 etc).
