Hello,

Michael Hitch's driver for the CS Mk. III /CS PPC SCSI host adapter was
integrated a few days ago, and an important bug was fixed in the
meantime. It consists of a Symbios-53c770 driver derived from the NetBSD/Amiga
NCR/Symbios-53c710 driver, and a frontend for the boards.

Restrictions:
- no Ultra (fast-20) speed yet.
- no Wide transfers yet, especially: no peripherals with target id above 7 are
visible to it. (However: Wide disks work fine with it using narrow transfers,
as wide-scsi capability is only used if agreed upon by both disk and host
adapter.)

This driver is still to be considered experimental. We would like to see your
test reports on the port-amiga@netbsd.org mailing list.

The driver is scheduled to go into the forthcoming NetBSD-1.4 release.

Regards,
