Personally, I like the daemon. It's a pretty cool logo and my wife loves the
cuter versions of the little beastie. 

One possible logo could be male/female (and possibly electronic) version of 
Ianus (and possibly electronic) version of Ianus, Roman god of doors and time.
It symbolizes the fact that NetBSD runs on new and old hardware. It say that 
the OS acts a doorway to older and newer computers and the Internet.

I've heard better BS when making a logo, but it could work.
