Dear BSD advocates,

the company I work for is considering making the product I work on
(a Java2-compatible VM for embedded systems) available on an open-source
basis.  So far no problem, but my boss is advocating the GPL and I am 
not so sure.  Can anyone help me out with arguments why (from the point
of view of the entity that originally developed the software) another
license may be better?
