just as a data point...i installed netbsd on my sparc by booting from
the (scsi) zip drive. prior to that, i was running it netbooted from
a sparc set that i cross compiled on my i386 laptop. just to annoy
me, i wasn't able to actually build the install media on the laptop,
so i had to netboot the sparc to build the install media to install
netbsd...

talk about hoisting oneself up by one's bootstraps... :)
