Hello,

The NetBSD open source operating system has support for the Highpoint
Technologies EIDE chipsets. The two most recent releases, 1.4.3 and 1.5
support the HPT366 and HPT370 chipsets. This support is "built-in" to
the OS, and installation can be done directly to drives attached to
these chipsets.
Would it be possible to have a NetBSD link listed on your webpage?

The NetBSD operating system currently supports 31 different system
types, and 12 different CPU families. Many of these systems support PCI
and would be a potential market for Highpoint based products. Also, due
to the ease of porting the NetBSD operating system to a new platform, it
is very attractive to designers building embedded systems and custom
hardware. With NetBSD driver support for Highpoint's chipsets available
to many different system and cpu types, the combination of NetBSD and
Highpoint chipsets could be very attractive to designers of Network
Attached Storage devices, Storage Area Network devices, and other
storage subsystems.

Consider some of the benefits to Highpoint Technologies:
o A highly portable OS available for many CPU families with excellent
Highpoint support.
o Designers considering Highpoint chipsets can immediately start
developing with NetBSD.
o Designers can combine the stability and reliability of BSD with
Highpoint chipsets.
o Further underscores the wide availability of driver support for
Highpoint chipsets

There are, of course, some benefits to NetBSD as well:
 o Increases NetBSD's exposure.
o Demonstrates NetBSD's solid cross platform device driver support.
o Shows consumers that other operating system choices are available for
their devices.

Considering all of this, what would it take to list NetBSD in a
prominent location on your webpage, much like the current Linux, OS/2,
and FreeBSD links? I think it would also be mutually beneficial to list
NetBSD's Highpoint chipset support in your press releases and product
information.

Thank you.
