White on black does look kinda drab, if you ask me ("WHO ASKED YOU?!?
SIDDOWN!"), but it's *readable*. The site is to the point and
quite easy to navigate (from my own POV).

# I find animated gifs, banners, counters, javascript scrollers and

I agree here. I disable java and javascript explicitly. I don't
mind frames so much except that they don't leave a nagivable history
trail in the BACK button :-/.

I've seen one of my favorite websites get a makeover, and I don't like
it -- too much stuff to load, especially over a 28.8 link that seems
to want to connect at 26.4 more often than not, and I'm only on an
IPX (can't justify further expenditure for a better machine, though
I expect this to change sometime in the next three months...).

Personally, the KISS principle seems to work. Frames were fun to
play with just to see if I could do it, but I find them to be some-
what of a PITA within which to work.

# I'm quite sure many others do as well. Should
# www.netbsd.org look like a porn site? It looks professional and
# easy to navigate the way it is now, imho.

Seconded.

They're getting to me! Ahh, Chimay, Sierra Nevada, Red Tail, Guinness...]
