However, FreeBSD still uses the mach VM, which NetBSD doesn' which is
the only reason I'd think they would follow it... And FreeBSD is still
portable, but not to the same degree as NetBSD.

However, this page was probably just written by some web page guy and a
dude who scribbled some notes just not wanting to upset anyone.
