According to some old discussion on comp.unix.aux either apple or IBM got
AIX working on the powermac, but there is no plan to release it except on
the PCI powermacs.

There also are no announced plans to make MAS/MAE available on AIX so a
powermac running AIX will have no more mac capability than a MacBSD machine
and less than a Sun or HP (or a Mac running A/UX).
