FYI: I got a similar message when I had a newer netbsd kernel but had 
not upgraded the rest of my system yet. I got rid of the problem by
installing the newest base.tar.gz off of ftp.eskimo.com, which has the
newer version of the libraries, although I don't know what the newest version
of libm is.
