Motif binaries can be gotten on CD-ROM from Inmac-Select (800)323-6905 for
$99.  Sounds like a pretty reasonable price for U*nx software.

configurations of things a bit since I suspect his X server is not
*exactly* configured the same as what they expect.

(Of course, if I wanted to spend money I wouldn't use MacBSD in the first
place.)  Richard Stallman recently posted a request that people not develop
software that *depended* on Motif precisely because it isn't free.  My
recommendation for newbies:  download/install gcc 2.6.3 and use the Fresco
C++ class library.
