Perhaps a silly question, but could somebody please tell me how can I

1) set reverse video (by this I mean to make white -> black and black ->
white) to work on the login shell?  I feel pitty for all those poor pixels
and my eyes.

2) setup a screen saver (say run worms after a few minutes of iddleness,
having reversed video)?

I thank you in advance for any help on this matter.
