On my IIsi (5meg) with video card and fpu:

I had an old MacBSD installed and booting up to the rc (at which point
I couldn't type anything of course...)

Last night I got the netbsd-10 release and installed it. For whoever
might care, I got 21 gray bars. The [preserving...] message appeared,
and then the bars, then the copyright and it hung. Nothing went over
the serial connection.

BTW, does the serial port have to be hooked by a serial cable to
another machine, or is connecting by modem (direct connect) and
leaving the connection alive the same?

thanks,
 Kip
