Since these are Unix-style files, use a text editor that understands them.
I suggest BBEdit, BBEdit Lite, or Alpha. Run them with the text mode set to
Unix and everything will look correct. These programs are available through
the usual archive sources. (Sumex, Umich, mirrors, etc.)
