I haven't tried cross compilation, but I did compile 2.5.8 (gcc) under
NetBSD/Mac68k and get a clean compare between stages 2 and 3.  I posted
the two necessary files at one point.  If you can't find them in the
mailing list's archive on sun-lamp, I'll mail them again.
