On skipping the Finder, I have an easy solution.
You just have to change in the boot blocks the name of the
shell application, and remplace it by the name of your
application, which muist be in the system folder. So, your
application will be launched in place of Finder.

With this method, the only problem I encountered is when
I tryed then to launch the Finder, I couldn't. Neither the
LaunchApp procedure, nor the _Launch trap allowed me that.
