Your /etc/ttys and /etc/gettytab are screwy.  Where did they come from?
Mine, at least, would say:

	NetBSD/Mac (kitten.async.vt.edu) (con1)

login:

The string vga is nowhere in /usr/libexec/getty, so it's getting that
from somewhere else...
