Thank you for the recent help with my base file problem
I had Fetch 3.0b5 set for automatic, unfortunately it thought the
UNIX binary files were text and downloaded them in text format. (DRATS)
I successfully downloaded & installed netbsd11, base11, etc11, man11, text11, and misc11 on a syquest drive formatted with Apples AUX disk partitioning
software (58 meg root & usr + 16 meg swap) I've got a MacII CI with eight
megs of ram running system 7.5.3
The boot process starts out fine....
In single user mode I get the following messages
>Changing root device to sd1a
>PRAM 0x31b30fc0, macos_bootime: 0x31b30fb6
>Enter pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:
no matter what I do here I get hung up
When not in single user mode at boot the system hangs at;
>Automatic Boot in Progress: starting file system checks
>/dev/rsd1a: 2459 files, 33796 used 32594 free (338 frags, 4032 blocks, 0.5%
fragmentation)
>/dev/rsd1a: MARKING FILE SYSTEM CLEAN
The system locks up at this point
Thank you very much for all the help! :-)
