With source from yesterday, I experienced a suspend failure on an amd64
T61. It received the suspend notice, and appeared to start the suspend
process. The screen went blank (more precisely, to a blank VGA screen
with a cursor blinking), and most but not all things stopped. Not only
was the network up, the remote shells were still responding. However,
if I did anything involving disk I/O -- say, ran a non-builtin command
such as ps -- it hung.
