Hi there,
recently (a week ago) there have been several "improvements" in the
DRI/DRM code (use of mutexes, etc.). These upgrades seem to be buggy.
My configuration (libdrm 2.3.1 / xorg 1.4 / xf86-video-ati 6.7.195 with
a M7 mobility Radeon) as well as the one of Chavdar Ivanov display the
same behavior while running glxgears: the kernel crashes after a couple
of seconds, ten at most. Gnash, which uses OpenGL to render 2D graphics,
causes the same doom. Reverting to the previous DRM code solves the bug,
so this is most surely due to the recent change.
Has somebody an idea about what's wrong or what can be done to track the
bug?
Vincent
