Well, surprisingly, my system managed to unwedge itself overnight.
The update build, which I was expecting to take maybe 20 or 30
minutes, finished after around 18 hours. A full, native release
build takes a bit under an hour.

I think I'll put -current on this system and do some debugging. I
should get a chance to do some real bug chasing in the next couple
of months. It would be great to have lfs stable.
