Yeah, that's what I suspected, too.

Just in case it's relevant, I should note that I'm [unfortunately]
using an EMT64 processor, not a K8,
and my kernel was built with -march=nocona.  AFAIK (which isn't a lot,
heh),  the latter shouldn't make a difference in this case.
