Yes, the 8k/1k size seems to be important.  Please do let me know if
this helps.  BTW, check out ufs/lfs/lfs.h where
LFS_N_IBLOCKS/LFS_N_CLUSTERS are defined.  See how these could easily
get way larger than the documentation suggests (I think)?
