I think it would be convenient for a lot of people if there were
images available for booting from USB keys.  The installer could then
mount the ISO image as a vnd--or something else.

What do you think about creating such a target for platforms where
this would help?  Otherwise, we could put a package in pkgsrc which
pulls in grub, creates a disk image with grub and the iso (FAT
partition?) and chainloads the ISO (does it do this?).
