Hi,

I switched my laptop from ffs to lfs about a month ago and until a couple of 
days ago everything seemed perfect.  This is on i386.  The last kernel where 
I did not notice any problems was built on 29 August (I plan to restore the 
system from that date and do some testing later).  Here's what I've seen 
since then:

1) An occasional "lfs_writeinode: looping count=2" in /var/log/messages

2) One case of lfs_cleanerd looping forever cleaning the same set of segments 
over and over.

3) One case of any access to a file system hanging (unkillable even with -9).

4) Running fsck -f on a filesystem after a clean reboot reports errors (this 
may be normal behavior for all I know).

Have any changes been made to the lfs code recently that might explain this?
