Subject: i386 GENERIC kernel fails to boot unless piixpcib is removed

Hi,

I just upgraded my firewall / router to current and found that the GENERIC 
kernel would hang during boot.  Removing the device

	piixpcib* at pci?

fixed the problem.  Is this something that is expected or should I try to 
track down the cause further?

I have attached the dmesg output, below.
