Eh, I'm sorry, these fixes I mentioned have not been pulled up yet; ticket
#1327 on the netbsd-3 branch is still open, and now I see your problem
reports appended to it...  (I only remembered seeing the ticket being
requested a month ago and assumed it would be alright by now.)
