on an IBM X31, coming out of a "zzz" sleep state, or an auto-sleep from
battery only state on low power hangs.

the magic IBM <Fn>+F3 key still blanks screen. plugging in power still
makes the PC beep.

separately, removing a USB mouse, or a USB HDD also hangs.

current as of last week, gcc-4 compile state:  
NetBSD 3.99.21 as of Jun9.
