I'm running a 10-day-old -current kernel with Xorg 6.9.0nb3 on a Thinkpad
T42. When I'm running on line power, I can switch screens with no
problem. When I'm on batter, though, I get

	usl_detachack: not detaching

after a few seconds.

My /etc/apm/battery just logs something and stops cron. Perhaps more
significantly, I run sysutils/estd, which changes the clock frequency
when on battery.

Any hints on what's causing this?
