The iSCSI tests from Windows (both W2K3 server and W2K server) worked
fine. I am trying to use the Solaris10 initiator now.

and the format command hangs - it does not recognize the disk type, so
when I manually give it some sort of reasonable parameters to stay
within the image, it freezes before giving me the prompt to issue the
'partitions' command.

I know it's a long shot, but... (Solaris 10 has only an initiator).
