This is on a Dell Insprion notebook 1100.

Three cards, SlimSCSI apa-1460, apa-1450, and jazz card (apa-1460)
are all detected and work on netbsd 2.0.  These are PCMCIA.

All three give the above "aic1: unable to detect chip!" message
in 3.0 RC4 (or whatever the one that is announced on the homepage).
