Hi
I'm unable to make my Synaptics touchpad produce any kind of usable
I/O. I.e. it doesn't make the mouse pointer move and the buttons don't
work too.

My Synaptics touch pad can be found in the Acer 1691 laptop. I have
downloaded the recent version of the Synaptics touchpad spec but I
haven't had a close look at it yet. Is anyone inside the spec to know
what could be the cause?
