I couldn't reproduce it. It might be what we could name a "hapax".

Anyhow, I am using a 40/64-bit WEP, single key only. No other form of 
encryption. After all, I don't exchange such a sensitive traffic! :)

PS: at this time, the level 2 link will not drop, but, at some point, 
the IP stops working and ifconfig -v ath0 reports an error for each 
packet received.
