Ok, i've done some testing with the esd, oss and sun devices and
ogg123/mpg321. Playing soundfiles is distorted with all three devices,
but randomly the output is clean. Also playback isn't distorted always
the same. It's a pattern which stays the same during playback but it's a
different pattern on each play attempt. So, when playing a file and the
sound-output is distorted at the beginning, playback is distorted till
the playing of the file is finished and the program exits. This applies
analogously for clean playback.

Can someone give me a hint how i can debug this problem further?

Regards,
Martin
