Did you try to run FreeBSD on the lapper as well? I can provide you with a small livecd if you want to.

Sometimes I use cvsup to download sources from a given time and then recompile them, e.g :
netbsd-src tag=. date=2004.

Was it an O.S affected by the changes in net80211 ?
